Streaming Netflix!

          A lot of customers have been telling us they want to stream Netfilx movies through their blu-ray players. They are under the impression that because they are streaming through a blu-ray player, that these movies are coming through at the same quality as playing a blu-ray disc. THEY’RE NOT.

          Steve Swasey, VP of Corporate Communications for Netflix: “Users have 1 in 17 titles available in HD, and it’s streamed in 720… it’s not in 1080, and it’s not in 5.1 surround sound or anything. So the HD experience at Netflix Instant Watching isn’t that overwhelming. It’s a little underwhelming.”

          We’re encouraging our customers to buy well built blu-ray players with a 3yr warranty from Marantz. While $250 superstore players stream Netflix, the experience is “underwhelming.”
