Anthem!The boys at paradigm bought Anthem (also Canadian) years ago. Anthem made nice surround sound separates- preamps and amps. Paradigm has been after us to sell Anthem for years. I’ve politely said no. We’ve sold Rotel since 1978 and since the products are quite comparable I don’t see a need to add Anthem. Nothing personal guys, but, how many surround preamps and multi-channel amps do you need when Rotel already offered a full line? Well, the time has come to add Anthem. The reason is the AVM-50 preamp-processor for $4999. AVM-50 has a kitchen sink full of state of the art features AND outstanding sound! It has all the inputs you would expect, along with a state of the art GENNUM scaler, and uplinks/outputs to an HDMI cable. AVM-50 is “somewhat” future proof in that Anthem promises to make inevitable upgrades available. The AVM-50 has only one peer, Anthem’s Statement D2 preamp-processor. The D2 was the first piece out there to do all this- for $7499. The AVM-50 is the working man’s version and there is precious little difference between them for the money.
