I’ve enjoyed listening to various iterations of home theater systems over the years. We went from music and movies in stereo (think 12” laser discs). We expanded that with Dolby Pro Logic. It all got dramatically better with the introduction of DVD (1997) and discrete 5.1 sound. It got better yet with blu-ray, Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio. We’re done, right? Can’t get any better than that, right?

I’m happy to say, YES, we have gotten MUCH BETTER with the introduction of Dolby Atmos. With the addition of ceiling speakers and the information interspersed as the engineer dictates, the IMMERSION FACTOR is simply amazing! We’re not talking a subtle improvement here. We’re talking… a huge step. As Dolby 5.1 took us to a new level beyond Pro Logic, Atmos has done that yet again.

We invite you to our shop to hear it for yourself. No matter how much you read about it- after less than a minute in the chair- your expectations of home theater will be redefined.

In a nutshell, take your 5.1 system and add 4 ceiling speakers, hence 5.1.4. Of course you can do 7.1.4 as well. You need amplification for those 4 additional speakers and a pre-pro or receiver to decode the source. For as much fun as this hobby is, the investment is downright reasonable.

Here’s an absolutely dynamite, cost effective Dolby Atmos system that will blow you away, at a reasonable price!
