Dave Holmes, Owner
I started Audio Emporium in 1977. The love of music brought me into this biz. I have been very fortunate to make a living at a fun hobby. I’ve seen a lot of AV businesses go bust in Milwaukee since 1977!

My involvement with music is greater than ever. Schubert & Beethoven in particular are probably spinning when they hear me practice their works. As a lousy classical pianist, I can really appreciate the good ones. Having a terrific music system allows you to hear the tremendous array of nuances great musicians bring to their craft. I marvel at their skill and creativity. The products we sell let you bring this into your living room better than ever.

Glenn Avery, Senior Project Manager
Glenn’s thirst for music and video is “borderline healthy,” truth be known! He owns thousands of CDs and videos. The CDs consist primarily of progressive Euro Rock {Jethro Tull, Nektar, Focus etc}. The DVDs and video tapes range from sci-fi {Battlestar Gallactica, Dr Who}, to concert performances, to techniques on how to play the guitar {Steve Morse} or drums {Mike Portnoy}. Glenn goes to at least a dozen live concerts per year.

Glenn is always critiquing new software and arguing with Jacque about technical nuances in recording quality. Hey guys, can’t we all just get along?!

Glenn's ten year old Siberian Husky walks him about 90 minutes per day! Glenn has worked for AE since 1990.

Jacques Sewrey, Installation/Service/Webmaster
Don’t let that French name fool you, Jacques is a Milwaukee native. Jacques has worked at AE since early 1996.

Jacques is a combination musician/technician which gives him a unique array of talents in the installation world. He plays drums and has been a professional “weekend” musician for years.

Jacques’ interest in music takes him down another path as well. He owns Great Mix, a recording studio that records local talent in the studio, and on location. Jacques has recorded the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, the UWM SO, and the Concord Chamber Orchestra for years. You’ll see him at various music events around town.

Jacques admits to being a computer geek. Those skills are ever more helpful in the computerized AV world we’re in today. He enjoys action movies and sci-fi.

Jacques is basically on old rocker at heart, still listening to Steely Dan, Donald Fagan, Rush & Genesis among others. Ah, it’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks!

Greg Cisler, Installation/Service
Greg has been installing with AE since 2003. His many skills include carpentry and wiring. I always tell customers EVERY job is custom. You can’t do what we do without talented guys like Greg to view each challenge uniquely.

Greg is a fan of American singer songwriters first and foremost. He was on the Eva Cassidy bandwagon early! He’s also a big fan of Townes Van Zandt, Van Morrison, & Ry Cooder. Greg is an avid supporter of public radio, listing American Roots, World Café and Chicken Shack among his favorites where he’s finding a real resurgence in folk music.

Chris Werner, Installation/Service

Chris Joined our installation staff in mid 2007. He's been in the AV biz since 1981 and is a man of many talents. He brings experience and back room stories of many competing products to the party!

Chris enjoys electronics and music, owning about 1500 CDs. His main areas of musical interest are classic rock and blues. He puts Stevie Ray Vaughn at the top of his list. Chris acknowledges he's a boring family man when he's not impressing our customers with his skills!

In Memoriam: Mike Scott

Mike died Jan 18, 2006. He was driving home from work when a brain aneurysm took his life at the age of fifty. Typical of Mike’s generosity, he donated organs to seven people in need. This loss has hit us at AE very hard, personally & professionally. Mike had worked for AE since 1990.
