Purpose

The main reason you want an Isotek Mains Conditioner in your system is that it improves your sound. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. You can HEAR the benefits. Isotek also protects you from AC assaults.

Listening to your system with Polaris (30dB), Aquarius (60dB) or Sigmas (75dB) will provide cleaner sound in all respects. Perhaps more importantly, the dynamic range and ability of your system to sound effortless, is improved noticeably. In fact, if your gear is quite resolving, it will improve dramatically.

For example… A stand up bass fiddle player uses his fingers. With Isotek the attack and pluck is more clear. The definition of the tone of the bass is more defined. When listening to a piano you can more clearly hear the attack of the hammers on the strings. The human voice is more clear and separated out from the rest of the music. We will happily prove this to you in our shop!

Why Isotek Works

Isotek builds its products specifically for high end audio improvement. Most brands simply take what works with computers and stuffs them in a box- not considering the unique needs that audio gear has. Most of the parts inside an Isotek are specifically manufactured for Isotek, at Isotek’s specs, for audio.

For example, other brands use large MOVs for surge protection that are heavy handed and prevent maximum current delivery to amplifiers. It’s like putting snow tires on your high performance sports car in the summer. It’s not the right equipment for the job. MOVs are fine for computers and microwaves but not for high end audio with dynamic current demands. Isotek uses an array of specially manufactured VDRs that only clamp down on actual surges that would damage your equipment.

Other brands connect all of their outlets together in series, or at the very least connect duplexes together. If you connect a noisy switching power supply to one outlet it affects all of the others. From the Aquarius on up, each outlet has its own dedicated filter so the other outlets aren’t affected. This is called DIFFERENTIAL noise. Even the entry level Polaris doesn’t connect other outlets together. Each one is wired point to point back to the filter giving more isolation between outlets, although not as completely effective as the Aquarius.

Further, Isotek uses silver plated OFC wiring to connect their outlets to the filters instead of cheap copper plated buss bars and small PCB traces which quash current delivery. Isotek makes all of its choices in the service of making your audio system sound better!
