Paradigm Signature Series
With a nice resurgence of interest in high quality two
channel interest these days, we now have the Paradigm Signature 2, 6 & 8 on display.
The Sig 8 is downright awe inspiring! With Sig
8, Paradigm has thrown down the gloves and challenged all comers- at any price. At $8k per
pair the Sig 8s are ready to compete with anything out there. The Sig 8s are not just
powerful. They have a tremendously open, airy sound by using a patented S-PAL mid driver
and Beryllium tweeter. Sig 8 mates four 7” Poly Carbon Infused woofers that have a
unique corrugated surround- which provides far
more excursion than anything else available. As always, the proof is in the listening! Paradigm is conscious to achieve its luster with high efficiency. Only horns will be more efficient- and that usually comes at a price of midrange accuracy. There are many speakers for a grand or two, that sound good with mega power, but sound poor with modest power. Paradigm continues to make its line a good choice for people with more modest amplifiers.
For example, the Paradigm
Sig 8 runs $8k per pair. You can run them nicely with the Rotel RA-1520 integrated amp for
a grand. We can name many $1-2k speakers that come to life only when kicked in the fanny
by the Rotel RB-1582 (200x2, $1500) or Bryston 4B-SST-2 (300x2 $4550).
The Paradigm Sig 2 ($3k pr)
and Sig 6 ($5800pr) are likewise, highly efficient performers. The Sig 6 uses the same
corrugated surrounds on its woofers as Sig 8 does. The result is more lengthy travel than
standard surrounds- which yields superior dynamics and SPL. Everybody on the web claims
their speakers are the best. You can’t even find a place to hear 98% of them! Take us

Micro $260pr
Paradigm has just introduced a new
little brother to the family- the Monitor Series family that is. The Micro is $100pr less
expensive than the Atom. While the Atom is better, the Micro is a REAL speaker in a wooden
cabinet.
The 5 ½ “ woofer and 1”
Titanium tweeter aren’t quite as advanced as the drivers used in the Atom, but the
Paradigm flavor is unmistakable. Most folks are getting plastic junk for this price point.
