What’s a great full range speaker system for $2290?

They’re made in N America, not China.

They’re made in their own house, not by a job house half way around the world.

They’re made with drivers made by themselves, they’re not buying drivers from a vendor.

The speakers I’m describing are Bryston Tiny A stand mount speakers, augmented by a JL Audio D-110 powered subwoofer.

For just a tad over $2k these will make the lightweight imports sound puny!

Bryston’s Tiny A is brand new and sells for $990 per pair. They are made in Canada and have a 20 year warranty.

JL Audio’s D110 sub sells for $1300. It is made in Florida and has a 3 year warranty.

Bryston’s Tiny A is a smooth and highly detailed stand mount speaker. It only gives way

to larger speakers in deep bass response. We’re turning that over to the JL Audio D110 powered subwoofer.

Tiny A isn’t exactly tiny. It uses a substantial 6.5” cast frame Anodized Aluminum bass/mid driver and Bryston’s renowned Titanium tweeter. Tiny A is a very fine speaker all on its own.

Yet, we all want deep bass and impact on occasion. The JL D110 sub will do that more effectively than the vast majority of towers out there. Hence I’m recommending this cost effective package because Bryston and JL are ideal mates.

JL Audio subs are made in Florida. JL doesn’t just buy drivers out of a bin along with plate amps- and screw them together in a box.

All JL subs are sealed for generating the most taut bass response. They yield deep, controlled bass. The other subs in this price range are almost all ported and boomy.

There’s more to this success beyond being sealed.

The JL D110 driver is a cast frame design. It is significantly deeper and has a stronger magnet system than its competitors. This massive driver is melded into the front baffle of the sub’s fascia.
