The Klipsch Heresy 4 is a new, improved version of Klipsch’s iconic Heritage entry level model. It’s still made in Hope, Arkansas. H4 is a fanny kicking 12” 3-way in a beautiful real wood cabinet.

Heresy 4 is significantly improved over H3 in several key areas.
K has made the cabinet a little taller than its predecessor. This has allowed space for K to install a port on the rear which deepens the bass response.
K has a new mid driver using a polyimide MYLAR diaphragm – for greater speed and detail.
K has a new titanium tweeter with wider dispersion, portraying a larger sweet spot. You don’t have to sit dead center to fill the room.
K has a muscular 12” accordion suspension (vs over rolled) surround woofer. This big boy can hit hard but is also very fast due to its construction. Listen to the character of the skins on the drum kit when you get a creative drummer.
When you watch the movement of the accordion cone- it barely moves. Over rolled surrounds require a lot of travel to develop deep bass. That takes time and horsepower. H4 is super quick and tight. It isn’t a thudder.
Note that Heresy runs 99dB SPL. That means you can drive it plenty loud with ANY amp.
The industry is full of $3k per pair speakers that need Herculean amps to wake ‘em up. Not so with Heresy. We especially like the NAD line of integrateds for the H4s. They’re affordable, have massive headroom and don’t sound harsh. They’re also quiet for the subtle music- if you have any of that!
If you have a modest system and want to move up, speakers will give you more performance for your investment than anything else. The beauty of Heresy is, you can mate it to a relatively inexpensive amp and get plenty of push. Suppose you have a 20-40 year old NAD, Marantz or
Mac amp. No problem. H4 is so efficient that you’ll be able to drive them easily. Of course we would like to eventually talk you into getting a modern amp that is commensurate with H4. But until those cookies are in the jar, make your first step loudspeakers.
I have written this because it’s surprising how often we get customers who visit and say flat out, I love my music loud & clean. That’s fine. We have to make sure you start with the right speakers. You simply can’t get high pressure levels with Magnepans or any number of audiophile speakers that will just BREAK as you use (& abuse?) them. Heresy 4 understands you. You’re gonna let ‘er rip. Further, H4 is more than a LOUD speaker. It is lightning fast, punchy and has a large image. Its speed makes it a marvelous consideration even if LOUD isn’t your #1 goal. Its perspective is FRONT ROW. You get IMMEDIACY with singers and guitar overtones from musicians you feel like you can reach out and touch at the gig. There’s nothing wrong with having fun and getting a little crazy on occasion. H4 is ready to deliver the goods!
