Axiom power amps are an exciting introduction to the affordable audio hobby. The vast majority

of amps running sub $3k are made in China, or don’t have nearly the power that Axiom produces.

Bryston and Axiom merged some years ago and these Axiom models take advantage of the merger. Axiom amps have smooth sound and can throw barbells around your room at the same time.

They’re made in Canada with a 5 year warranty.

What Axiom starts out with is massive, LINEAR power supplies. Please note the weight and filter capacitance of these powerhouses.

Axiom has large toroidal transformers and big filter caps. Competing amps that run switching supplies and small caps, rarely even achieve rated power. The basis of their design means they have no head room either! Axiom amps can triple power on peaks. That’s right, ADA-1000 hits 375×2 and ADA-1500 hits 975×2.

We have some impressive displays in house where we can do an A-B comparison of Axiom amps vs some of the other guys. When you hear the difference in weight, attack and spatial presentation, you’ll see why we’re so ramped up about Axiom.

We’re happy to recommend Axiom amps with the preamp of your (or our) choice. But, even further, the Axiom amps make such a big improvement, I want you to consider running your integrated amp or surround receiver into one of these amps. If you listen to your surround receiver driving nice speakers, and then get a taste of the same speakers with an Axiom amp in the loop, you won’t believe you’re listening to the same speakers!

NAD makes very high value integrated amps. If you listen to them with a given speaker, you’ll like them. But if you get a taste of the same speaker with ADA-1000 doing the heavy lifting, you won’t believe the improvement!

Running a Chinese built surround receiver with 125×7… produces but a trickle of acceleration and propulsion compared to an Axiom power amp. I suggest you get an Axiom stereo amp to effectively bypass the flimsy right/left amp in your surround receiver.

If you stop in to hear the comparison, there is NO question you’ll hear a huge improvement. The only question is, based on your particular speakers, do you get ADA-1000 or ADA-1500?

ADA-1000 offers a great value. ADA-1500 competes with the industry’s heavyweights!
