McIntosh MA-352 Integrated Amp Back In Stock!

McIntosh MA-352

This 200×2 integrated comes with tubes in the preamp section and still features luscious Mac power meters. This is a full analog beast that will play as beautifully as anything you can buy. If you order one from anyone you’ll wait six months plus for it.

We just got a couple in stock. Why wait?

Mac doesn’t permit dealers to post pricing. I’ll just tell ya this amp will put you in 7th heaven.

GoldenEar ForceField 30 & 40 Subwoofers

GoldenEar has just introduced a couple of new subs to replace its stalwarts, FF4 & FF5. GoldenEar has learned a lot in the last dozen years since opening its doors. FF30 & FF40 are the beneficiaries of its new technology.

First of all, what has always separated GoldenEar from the masses is its use of conspicuously stronger amps than the other guys out there. Most subs in this price range use amps of 200-300 watts. That sounds like a lot- right? The problem is, people don’t baby their subs. They let em rip. Further, when they do it over and over again, they tax the on board amplifiers.

If you have a sports car that can go 150, it’s going to be doing 100 with relative ease. If you ask your family sedan or Prius to drive 100, it may do so, but you’ll be taxing it. Further, GoldenEar employs DSP in its sub amps to optimize drive capability- to perform with a flatter, stronger response.

GoldenEar uses .75” bottom and side wall panels. The top panel is curved and even thicker to provide better stability. GoldenEar uses long throw active drivers and mates them to Infrasonic radiators to deliver even a bigger bass kick into your system. It uses massive rubber feet so it can be used on any floor composition.

GoldenEar’s preference is to run smaller active woofers and augment them with passive radiators. This technique delivers tighter, cleaner bass, than running a woofer that has a larger diameter with a port. GoldenEar has been building solid subs for a dozen years now. They’ve got it down pat.

Each sub has two RCA inputs. You can run R&L from a stereo preamp. Or you can use the left channel for LFE.

Each has a low pass crossover, variable, 40-150Hz.

GoldenEar has even upgraded the grille which is now a perforated metal plate to allow better sound than running a traditional grille cloth.

Lake Street Dive

Akie Bermiss — Mike Calabrese — Rachael Price — James Cornelison — Bridget Kearney

One of my favorite bands is Lake Street Dive. Lead singer Rachael Price has been my favorite singer since I heard the band in 2012.

Bridget Kearney plays stand up bass.

Mike Calabrese plays drums.

Akie Bermiss plays keys.

James Cornelison plays guitar and sings.

So, there are many more assets to the band-it isn’t all just Rachael. But ya can’t lose when you start with the best singer out there.

They have a handful of albums with their own original songs. But of course, a great song is a great song and I’m very impressed with their versions of songs we all recognize.

They released “Fun Machine” in 2012. And I gotta tell ya, it’s really FUN!

Fast forward to 2022, a decade later, and out comes, you guessed it, “Fun Machine The Sequel.”

Put away your stuffed shirt and prepare to have some fun!
